Regional seminar held at Rangpur

The Regional dissemination seminar was organized by Rangpur Polytechnic Institute at Rangpur Shilpakala Academy on Thursday Senior Secretary of Technical and Madrasah Education Department Md. Kamal Hossain was the chief guest at the regional dissemination seminar of Accelerating and strengthening skills for economic transformation (Asset) Project.

Senior Secretary Md. Kamal Hossain said that Asset Project is providing sanction for modernization of laboratories, classrooms etc. of technical and health education institutes at diploma level.

Through this scheme, the government has provided training to teachers, strengthened linkages between educational institutions and industries.

It has been organizing factory visits, skills competitions and job fairs to complete hands- on training for the students.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Habibur Rahman presided over the program as special guests.

Director General of Technical Education Directorate Md. Mohsin, Asset Project Director Abu Mamtaz Saad Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Secretary Md. Abdur Rahim,Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mobashwer Hasan were special guests.

Also spoke- Rangpur Polytechnic Institute Principal Engineer Farid Uddiuddin Ahmed, Regional Director Khandkar Md Nahid Hasan and others.

The seminar was attended by representatives of local administration, public safety officials, principals of secondary schools and madrasas, technical education officers, industrial and factory owners, representatives of civil society and other senior officials and participants of the asset project.
