‘BNP hatching conspiracy to create unrest ahead of poll’

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said BNP is hatching conspiracy to create unrest in the country ahead of the general elections.
“BNP founder Ziaur Rahman held state-managed polls during his regime.
Those who did politics of killing and vote rigging, they are now hatching anti-state conspiracy in the name of practicing democratic rights,” he said.
Nasrul said this recently while addressing as the chief guest a discussion at Chunkutia High School ground in Keraniganj .
South Keraniganj Thana unit of Awami League organised the discussion marking the National Mourning Day, reports BSS.
The state minister said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had dreamed that the people would live in peace and happiness. BNP-Jamaat clique is out to destroy people’s peace, he mentioned.
South Keraniganj Thana unit of Awami League and Keraniganj Upazila Chairman Shahin Ahmed chaired the discussion while its general secretary Mujahedul Islam Mamun conducted it. Dhaka District AL member and valiant freedom fighter Md Shahjahan, its Vice-President Md Mujibur Rahman, Shubhadya Union Parishad Chairman Md Iqbal Hossain, Dhaka district AL organizing secretary and Zinzira union parishad chairman Sakur Hossain Saku and Dhaka district AL treasurer Jasim Mahmud spoke, among others.
