President mourns death of ex-religious minister Motiur

President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former Religious Affairs Minister and valiant Freedom Fighter Principal Motiur Rahman.

In a condolence message, he recalled the contribution of Motiur Rahman to the country’s Great Liberation War and promoting different educational activities.

“The death of this Ekushey Award recipient is an irreparable loss to the country . . . The nation will remember him with respect for long,” the Head of State said, reports BSS.

The President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
