One held with arms, ammo

The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested one person with a foreign pistol, a magazine and four rounds of bullet from Shibganj frontier in Chapainawabganj district on Friday night.

The arrested person was identified as Abdullah Pranto, 21 Son of Milon of Bonainagar Faridpur village under Faridpur upazila in Pabna district.

Lieutenant colonel Md. Golam Kibria, Director of 59 BGB said, acting on a tip off, a patrol team of BGB from Sonamasjid border out post conducted a raid at Koilabari truck stand area under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Thursday at 8 pm and arrested Abdullah with the arms and ammunition.
