Shopkeeper killed in capital, one held

A shopkeeper named Rafsan Hossain (17) was stabbed to death by another youth named Tawfiq for refusing to sell cigarettes in Dakshinkhane of the capital.

The incident took place at ‘Alamin Tea Store’ in Gawair area of Dakshinkhan on Wednesday evening.

Dakshinkhan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Yasin Gazi confirmed the matter to the media saying that accused Tawfiq was arrested in this connection.

The blood-stained knife was also seized from him.

After the incident, locals immediately rescued him and took him to nearby Kurmitola General Hospital.

He died during the night while undergoing treatment there.
