IGP issues warning against anti-liberation forces

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun has said that attempts to create an anarchy and unstable environment in the country will be subdued with an iron hand.

A vested quarter wants to distract the country.

He said this at a discussion on the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day at Rajarbag Police Line on Saturday.

IGP said, “Whoever tries to deteriorate the law and order situation in the country, they will be suppressed with strict hands.

The anti-liberation people have always wanted to erase the name of Bangabandhu from the history of this country. Arson attackers will not be spared.

All steps will be taken to maintain law and order in the country.

Anti-liberation activists are doing various kinds of mischief.

Police will play the same role with professionalism as per the law as they did in the past to resist them.

Chaired by DMP Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq, Professor Syed Anwar Hossain, Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud, Additional IGP (Administration) Md Kamrul Ahsan, Additional IGP (Special Branch) Monirul Islam among others spoke at the event.
