Momtaz opens up about her arrest warrant

Bangladeshi singer and Member of the Parliament Momtaz Begum opened her mouth about the arrest warrant in the Indian court.

She made a post about the arrest warrant on her personal verified Facebook page last Wednesday.

Here is Momtaz’s Facebook status for the readers of The New Nation:“My dear local people and those who are fans of my songs all over the country and those who are my well-wishers, they are saddened in view of a news for some days and wanted to know how true it is.

I was abroad.

On August 14th, I returned home because I was very busy with the National Day of Mourning on August 15th, so I didn’t get a chance to talk about this issue.”

“Yes, it is true that many years ago a person filed a false case against me in Baharampur court in India.

The main purpose of which was to scare me and grab some money.

And without that person I should not be able to do any concert in India through anyone.

He has prepared a false case of taking 14 lakh rupees without any document, which has no proof and could not be filed in the court in these 14-15 years.”

“This year I appeared in the court twice but unfortunately the plaintiff in the case was absent in the court both times because he was ill.

His main purpose is to harass me.

I request the learned court to dispose of this case expeditiously in accordance with the law.

But I could not attend the last date given by the court because I had already taken a program in Canada.

However, I informed the court about this and later on asking for a time, the learned court accepted it and gave me another date of September 8.

Hopefully, when I appear on the 8th, the learned court will take a decision and I will know what to do next.”

“There are many conspiracies against me ahead of the national elections. All of you trust and believe in me for the sake of Allah and pray for me. May I not harm anyone. Everyone will be fine, stay healthy.”

It is noted that on August 9, the arrest warrant was issued by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Mursihidabad, West Bengal, India Alok Das filed in a case against breach of contract and fraud.

In this case, three arrest warrants were issued against Bangladeshi singer Momtaz.A case was filed against Momtaz about 15 years ago.

The report was circulated and published in several media on August 13.
