Three bodies recovered from DU area

A total of three bodies including two newborn have been recovered from the Dhaka University (DU) area.

The two newborn bodies were found on Friday in the garbage on a footpath near Amar Ekushey Hall of Dhaka University (DU).

On the other hand, police recovered the body of an unidentified person (45) from a footpath of Curzon Hall area of the university.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies of the newborns wrapping in an old cloth from the spot, SI Harun ur Rashid of Shahbag Police Station said.

Their bodies have been kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue after an autopsy.

It is still unknown who left the bodies of one-day-old newborn boys there, he said.

SI Shamim Mir of Shahbag Police Station told that on Saturday morning a man was lying unconscious on the footpath in front of Curzon Hall.

Later, he was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
