Light to moderate rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in the country and at few places over parts of the country.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country”, said day long weather forecast begins from 9am yesterday.

Day temperature may rise by 1-3 degree Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the met office forecast added.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across Northern part of Bangladesh.

One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
