Orientation metting held in C’nawabganj

An orientation meeting on ‘Prevention of early marriage and violence on children and participation of people in the development of life of the children and juveniles’ was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj on Monday.

Chapainawabganj district administration organised the programme in association with UNICEF.

Deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan attended it as the chief guest while it was presided over by the deputy director of Local Government of the DC office Debendranath Orao.

Superintendent of police Md. Saidul Hasan and UNICEF chief of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions AH Towfiq Ahmed attended it as special guests.

Among others, principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor D. Shankar Kumar Kundu, valiant freedom fighter Advocate Abdus Samad, sadar upazila nirbahi officer Md. Rawshan Ali, deputy director of the Department of Women Affairs Sahida Akhtar, executive director of Proyas Manobik Unnayan Society Hasib Hossain and others spoke on the occasion.
