Litton propels Surrey Jaguars to defeat Brampton Wolves in Global T20

Prolific Litton Das propelled Surrey Jaguars to defeat Brampton Wolves by six wickets in their match of the Global T20 Canada at the CAA Centre in Brampton of Canada on Tuesday.
Sent into bat first, Brampton Wolves scored 129 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Surrey Jaguars sailed home making 134 for the loss of four wickets when they had 11 balls to spare.
One-down Litton Das played the key role for the victory of his team scoring a superb 59 runs. He hit three sixes and three fours in his 45 ball innings. Litton was adjudged the Man of the Match for his terrific innings. Litton reached his 50-run landmark capitalizing 40 deliveries with two fours and three sixes.
Surrey Jaguars faced an early debacle as they lost their three wickets when their score was just 21.
One-down Litton Das and third-down Iftikhar Ahmed salvaged their team from disaster as they contributed 99 runs for the fourth wicket partnership before Litton Das was dismissed by Shahid Ahmadzai when Surrey’s total was 120 for the loss of four wickets.
Later, Iftikhar Ahmed and Ayaan Khan guided their team to reach the winning spot.
Iftikhar Ahmed remained unbeaten with 38 runs. His 41-ball captain’s knock had two sixes and one four.
Ayaan Khan remained unbeaten with seven runs.
Chris Green, Shahid Ahmadzai, Logan van Beek took one wicket each.
Earlier, Colin de Grandhomme of Brampton Wolves restored some parity for his side scoring a run-a-ball 34 with three fours.
Ammar Khalid, Ayaan Khan, Mathew Forde grabbed two wickets each giving 17, 19 and 26 runs respectively.
Besides, Iftikhar Ahmed and Spencer Johnson took one wicket each giving three and 21 runs respectively.
