Once again theft in Rampal Power Plant

Two thieves were arrested along with stolen earthing copper cables from Rampal Thermo Power Plant in Bagerhat district in a broad daylight on Friday at about 11-30 am, according to a delayed report received here.
The arrested thieves are Abul Kashem (25), son of one Md. Amzad Hossain Shaikh of village Manik Nagar under Rampal Upazila and Nazrul Islam (34), son of one late Nannu Mia of Khairhat (Shikdar Para) area under Kashiani Upazila in Gopalganj district
It is learnt from the concerned authorities that on the day (at 11-30 am) while the thieves were trying to flee away after twisting the copper cables (stolen from the interior of the Power Plant) with their bodies from the gate No,02 were caught red-handed with the cables by a contingent the security guards (of the Power Plant) Power Plant).
Then the concerned authorities (of the Power Plant) informed the police of Rampal PS of the matter. Being informed of the the matter a police squad led by SI Zahidul Islam of Rampal PS rushed to the spot, arrested the thieves, seized the stolen earthing copper cables and took them to the PS. S M Ashraful Alam, Officer-in-charge of Rampal PS admitted the fact and told, the security guards of the gate No. 02 of Rampal Power Plant caught the thieves and recovered some 13 kgs earthing copper cables worth Tk.13 thousands after searching their (thieves) bodies.
The Officer added, in this connection a theft case was lodged with the PS on Saturday by the concerned authorities of Rampal Power Plant and on the sane day the arrested thieves were sent to Bagerhat Jail hajat through the court.
