Light to moderate rain with squally wind likely

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over the country.
” Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country”, said a met office forecast for next 24 hours, reports BSS.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Dhaka,Tangail, Faridpur, Kishoregonj, Manikgonj, Chuadanga and Kushtia and it may abate, the forecast begins 9am on Wednesday.

Day temperature may fall by (2-3)o C and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The Monsoon Depression over Northeast Bay and adjoining area intensified into a Monsoon Deep Depression over the same area. Then it moved northwestwards, crossed Bangladesh coast by 06 PM yesterday (01.08.2023). It moved further west-northwestwards weakened into a Depression and now lies over West Bengal-Bihar and adjoining area.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, center of the Depression to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
