Couple among 3 commit suicide in Savar

Police have recovered the bodies of three people including a couple from separate places at Ashulia in Savar near the capital city.
It was primarily known that the three persons allegedly committed suicide by taking poison.
The deceased have been identified as Mridul, 19, son of one Amirul Islam, hailed from Joypurhat district, and his wife Marufa Akter Munni, 18, daughter of Abdul Mannan, from Dinajpur district. They used to live with family in Dhalpur area of Ashulia.
On the other hand, the detailed identity of another deceased Ripa Akter, 19, could not be known.
Sub-inspector (SI) of Ashulia Police Station Sohel Mollah confirmed the incidents to the media Monday.
According to police, the body of deceased Marufa Akter Munni was recovered from Ashulia’s Gonoswasthya Hospital on Sunday afternoon, and her husband Mridul’s body was recovered from Savar’s Enam Medical College Hospital at night.
And Ripa Akter’s body was recovered from Jamgara area on Monday morning.
Quoting the family members of the deceased, police said on Sunday afternoon, Mridul and Marufa left their house to visit National Memorial. Later, around 4 pm, they both fell in front of the door of their house. At that time, Marufa told her family members that they took poison.
Family members rescued them and took to Gonoswasthya Hospital where the doctors declared Marufa dead. And Mridul was later taken to Enam Medical for better treatment but died there.
