ACC sued against custom commissioner Enamul for illegally amassing Tk 10cr

Anti-Corruption Com-mission (ACC) On Monday filed a case against a customs official for accumulating around Tk 10crore of wealth illegally beyond his known source of income and concealing information in the wealth statement.
The accused is Md Enamul Haque, working as a customs valuation and internal audit commissioner.
Mahbubul Alam, assistant director of ACC Integrated Office, Dhaka filed the case.
ACC Deputy Director (Public Relations) Muhammad Arif Sadek confirmed the matter to the media.
According to the ACC statements, MdEnamul Hague’s wealth statement declared the information of acquisition of assets worth Tk 10 crore.
ACC has started investigation against Enamul from November 2022 and interrogated in November.
There is allegation that Enamul has bought lands, flats in name and beyond in capital Rampura and Aftabnagar areas.
Another allegation was raised against him that he has laundered huge amount of money abroad.
