No convict’s speech at rally: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has given permission to the BNP to hold its rally in the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan on some conditions, including a bar on broadcasting speech by any convict.

DMP Joint Commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker confirmed this on Monday.

He said, “We have given permission to BNP to hold its rally in the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan on some conditions. They will not create any barrier on the roads and vandalize and torch any vehicle”. They will not broadcast or publish any speech of any convicted person, he added
