Ashura observed in Bagerhat

The Holy Ashura, was observed in Bagerhat district town and its all the nine Upazilas with due solemnity on Sunday.
The 10th Muharram which is known as the Holy Ashura was observed mainly in almost all the mosques of the district and Upazila towns. The Imams discussed on the significance and importance of the day after (Ashura) the Zohor or Asor prayers. Besides this, Quran Khani and Milad Mahfil was held in almost all the mosques where special prayer was offered for the salvation of the departed souls of Hazral Imam Hossain (RA), his family members and others who sacrificed their lives in Karbala Maidan in Iraq 1343 years ago.
