Implementation of Teesta Master Plan demanded

The Teesta Bachao Nadi Bachao Sangram Parishad held a press conference at Rangpur City Corporation Auditorium on Saturday morning demanding the implementation of the Teesta Master Plan with the dream of crores of people.
In a press conference , Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa said that the Prime Minister’s arrival in Rangpur and the people of Teesta who have been suffering for Teesta with a single hope are saying that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the implementation of the Teesta Master Plan in Rangpur’s public meeting.
He said Teesta has now become the misery of the people of the north due to not getting their fair share of water. Every year the sigh of flood and drought is getting longer and longer. Only the implementation of the grand plan can alleviate the suffering and misery of millions of people on both sides of the Teesta river. If this plan is implemented, the people of Tistapar will not have to wait for water.
At the same time, the socio-economic condition of the country will change after a long time. Hundreds of crores of people are hoping for the arrival of the Prime Minister in Rangpur on August 2. This time, maybe the Prime Minister will announce the solution to the Teesta problem.
The leaders of Teesta Bachao, Nadi Bachao Sangram Parishad also said that the riverside people of the five districts of the region will join the public meeting of the Prime Minister to demand the implementation of the Teesta Master Plan like the Padma Bridge with their own funding.
