Machineries carrying ship arrived at Mongla Port

A foreign commercial ship named MV.Isania carrying the national flag of Russia and loading 1 thousand 2 hundred 70 point 40 metric tones machinery goods as the 52nd consignment for Ruppur Atomic Power Plant arrived at Mongla Port on Wednesday afternoon (at 3pm) direct from Russia and anchored with Jetty No,07 of the Port. The unloading works of the machineries of the Power Plant was already started. It was confirmed by the local shipping agent ‘M/S. Conveyer Logistic Shipping Lines.’ It is also learnt from the shipping agent that the ship that after loading the machineries for the Power Plant left the Russian Sea Port Naboroksi on July 02 for Bangladesh and arrived at Mongla Sea Port directly on July 26 after crossing 3/4 seas/oceans and spending long 25 days.
It is also learnt that the unloading of the machineries are dumping in the different sheds of the jetty and after the completion of unloading works the machinery materials will be sent to the Power Plant at Ishwardi (in Pabna district) directly by trucks.
It may be mentioned here that so far as many as 84 thousand 8 hundred 98 metric tones machinery goods for Ruppur Atomic Power Plant were imported from Russia by some 52 foreign commercial ships through Mongla Sea Port.
