DU VC denies Canada visa application rejection

The visa application of Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor for Canada has yet not been rejected as the application process is still ongoing.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman confirmed this to the New Nation on Wednesday and said that some person is spreading manipulated information about this.

The Vice-Chancellor, however, applied for visa in the middle of June, but it’s still seeing processing on the website even after passing more than one month.

According to varsity sources, the DU vice-chancellor was supposed to go to Canada to attend the Council Conference of the Association of Commonwealth Univer-sities (ACU).

“Akhtaruzzaman joined the conference virtually as he could not participate in it physically for failing to get visa within this time,” DU Vice-Chancellor said.
