7 held in connection with attack on Hero Alom

At least 20 unnamed people were sued over the attack on independent candidate Ashraful Alom alias Hero Alom during the Dhaka-17 by-polls on July 17.
Sujan Rahman Shuvo, Hero Alom’s personal assistant, filed the case with Banani Police Station on Tuesday.
Mostafizur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station, confirmed the matter.

Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested seven persons so far in connection with the attack on Ashraful Alom, better known as Hero Alom.
Harun Or Rashid, additional police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said this at a press briefing on Tuesday noon.
