513 killed in June: JKS

At least 513 people were killed in 475 road accidents across the country in June this year. Another 826 people were injured during this time.
Apart from this, 39 people died in 41 accidents on railways and 16 people died in 17 accidents on waterways.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, Secretary General of Jatri Kalyan Samiti (JKS) on Monday.
The organization said that 568 people lost their lives in a total of 533 accidents on roads, railways and waterways in June. 867 people were injured.
Among them, 176 people were killed and 117 people were injured in 160 motorcycle accidents. Which is 33.68 percent of total accidents.
The highest number of road accidents occurred in Dhaka division 123 and the least number of road accidents occurred in Barisal division 22.
According to the notification, the Jatri Kalyan Samiti has prepared this report by monitoring the news of road, rail and marine accidents published in the national, regional and online media of the country.
