School milk feeding programme inaugurate

School milk feeding has been started in Bhangura upazila of Pabna under the initiative of the Directorate of Animal Resources. UNO Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan inaugurated this programme at Chakdighar Government Primary School of Khanmarich Union of Upazila on Thursday .
Among others Upazila Vice Chairman Golam Hafiz Ranju, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Rumana Akter, UP Chairman Manwar Hossain Khan Mithu were present there. Rafiqul Islam, head teacher of Chakdighar Government Primary School, said that for the nutritional development of children, all students of pre-primary / 1st to 5th class are fed 200 ml of milk free of charge. This schedule will be running every day except public holidays.
Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Rumana Akter said, that school of Bhangura Upazila was selected as part of exhibition of safe and nutritious dairy products among students under Animal Resources and Dairy Development Project (LDDP).
UNO Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan expressed hope that this program will be very effective in developing the talent of children.
