Consolation win for BD Women against India in third T20I

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team posted a consolation four-wicket win over India Women’s Cricket team in their third Twenty20 International (T20I) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Thursday.
India clinched the T20I series 2-1.
Electing to bat first, India scored 102 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh sailed home making 103 for the loss of six wickets when they had 10 balls to spare.
Bangladesh had a sorrow start as they lost their early two wickets for 16 runs.
Opener Shamima Sultana and second-down Nigar Sultana rescued their team from early debacle contributing together 46 runs for the third wicket partnership before Nigar Sultana (14) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia off Devika Vaidya when Bangladesh’s total was 62 for the loss of three wickets.
Shamima Sultana notched up a magnificent 42. She hit three fours in her 46-ball knock before she was run out by a joint-effort of Minnu Mani and Yastika Bhatia when the Tigresses’ total was 85 for the loss of six wickets. Shamima Sultana was adjudged the Player of the Match for her outstanding batting performance.
After Shamima’s dismissal, Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni helped their side to reach the winning spot adding together 18 runs for the unbroken seventh wicket stand.
Devika and Minnu got two wickets each conceding 16 and 28 runs respectively.
Earlier, India lost their early two wickets for just 20 runs.
