Konal’s checkmate in two songs from two Eid movies

National film award winning singer Somnur Monir Konal
is in a very happy mood right now. Because the audience
is enjoying her songs in two movies released last Eid.
The audience was impressed by Konal’s voice in the song
titled ‘O Priyotoma’ from Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul
starrer movie ‘Priyotoma’, directed by Himel Ashraf and
produced by Arshad Adnan, which was released last Eid. Konal’s co-singer of this song was Balam.
On the other hand, the very popular song ‘Megher Nouka’ from the movie ‘Prohelika’, produced by Jamal Hossain
and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, Konal’s
voice also impressed the audience.
Starting from last Eid till now, these two songs are flowing like tide. Because of Shakib Khan, the audience got hooked
on the song ‘O Priyotoma’ within a short period of time. Overnight this song became the hit list. Now all over the
country listeners are fascinated by this song every day.
Again, the audience had already liked the song
‘Megher Nouka’. After the release of this song,
Konal started performing with this song in all the
stage shows she performed in.
That’s why this song has spread to everyone. The song
‘O Priyotoma’ is now associated with it.
While talking about her two songs from two movies, Konal told this correspondent, “Alhamdulillah. This year’s Eid
was full of songs. I actually received a response for the song ‘Megher Nouka’ a long time ago. And since a few days before Eid, I am getting response for the song ‘O Priyotoma’.
I am very fond of both songs. I gave sincere gratitude
to all the movie producers, song lyricists, composers and music directors, co-artistes of these two songs. As well
as I have infinite love to the audience for
accepting both songs with love.”
Producer of movie ‘Priyotoma,’ Arshad Adnan said,
“Balam and Konal rendered song ‘O Priyotoma’ in Shakib Khan and Idhika’s voice has adapted the song well. As the
days go by, the audience likes this song more and more.”
Producer of movie ‘Prohelika,’ Jamal Hossain told this
correspondent, “Although the song was not written by me, written by Asif Iqbal Bhai, but the movie was produced by me. Even if it were not, I still have a fondness for beautiful
melodious songs. My congratulations to singers of the song ‘Megher Nouka,’ – Konal and Imran. We will travel many more ways together.” It is noted that two songs – ‘O Priyotoma’ and ‘Megher Nouka’ were written by Asif Iqbal. Akash has
composed music of ‘O Priyotoma’ while singer Imran Mahmudul has composed the song ‘Megher Nouka’.
