Student killed in Tangail

A college student was killed in a head-on collision between a private car and a motorcycle at Ghatailupazial in Tangail district on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Ashraful Islam Rafi (18), son of Babul Hossain, an ex-army person of Digar village of the Upazila. He is an eleventh grade student of Milestone College in capital.

Rafi’s family members and witness said that He was returning home on a motorcycle from Hamidpur after going around on the occasion of Eid.
On the way, on reaching the Brahminshasan bazar area of the upazila on the highway, there was a head-on collision with a private car coming from the opposite direction.

Due to the accident Rafi was seriously injured, the locals rescued him and took him to the hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Lokman Hossain, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ghatail police station said that on the way back home, whenRafi reached Brahmanshasanbazar area, there was a head-on collision with a Dhaka-bound private car.
