Police firmly committed to enabling smooth Eid journeys for all: IGP

Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun on Monday said his forces are firmly committed to make the Eid journeys smooth for all by keeping the traffic normal.

“We are determined to make the Eid journey smooth by keeping the traffic normal. Our senior officers are also on duty on the streets 24 hours a day in this regard,” the IGP said.

The IGP came up with the remarks after visiting the Gabtoli bus terminal and cattle haat (temporary market) in the city on Monday.

He spoke to the passengers and inquired from the traders about the safety of the sacrificial animals in the market. The IGP also distributed awareness leaflets among the passengers at the bus terminal.
