The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Monday the 20-member Bangladesh Women’s squad for the ensuing India series. Pacer Jahanara Alam and batter Rumana Ahmed have been dropped from the squad. Experienced Salma Khatun has been included in the squad.
Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will play three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against India Women’s Cricket team. After that, Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will play three-match One Day International (ODI) series against India Women’s Cricket team. The three-match ODI series is a part of International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s ODI Super League. All the matches will be held at the country’s prime cricket venue Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Bangladesh will take on India in the first T20I on July 9, Bangladesh will face India in the second T20I on July 11, Bangladesh will meet India in the third T20I on July 13. After finishing the T20I campaign, Bangladesh will play against India in the first ODI on July 16, the Tigresses will take on India in the second ODI on July 19, Bangladesh will face India in the third ODI on July 22. The coaching camp for the Tigresses marking the upcoming India series will start after the vacation of Eid-ul-Azha.
The cricketers, who have been chosen, are:Nigar Sultana, Sobhana Mostary, Murshida Khatun, Lata Mondal, Nahida Akter, Fariha Islam, Sanjida Akter, Disha Biswas, Rabeya, Shorna Akter, Sharmin Akter, Sultana Khatun, Marufa Akter, Dilara Akter,Shathi Rani, Ritu Moni, Salma Khatun, Shamima Sultana, Fargana Hoque and Fahima Khatun.
