Three construction workers die in city

Three construction workers were killed and another was seriously injured after being crushed by a falling crane part at an under-construction building in Demra, Dhaka on Saturday (June 24).
The deceased have been identified as Md Jafar, 50, Mizan, 32, and Md Mostafa, 42.

The accident occurred on Saturday noon near Noor Masjid in Demra Naya Para area.
Demra police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqur Rahman said that the workers were operating beneath the building when the platform of the crane used to lift material fell on them after the main load line tore, resulting in the immediate death of three workers.
Details will be disclosed later in this regard, the OC added.
