City dwellers urged to complete animal sacrifice within 2 days of Eid-ul-Azha

The mayor made the call while talking to the media after inaugurating the Interim Waste Transfer Centre of Khilgaon Railway Kitchen Market in Ward-11, reports UNB.
“I would humbly request the city dwellers to complete the animal sacrifice within the first two days of Eid. We have a long-standing culture of sacrificing animals even on the third day,” Taposh said.
Responding to a question on bringing the Aedes mosquito menace in the city under control, the Dhaka South mayor said, “We are aware of our responsibilities. Last year too, we successfully tackled the spread of Aedes mosquitoes. We have all the preparations, capabilities, and plans.”
