Fake Kabiraj arrested

A so-called Kabiraj (Ayurbedik physician) named Kayem Ali alias Kaium Shaikh (45), son of one Motleb Shaikh of village Joypur within Naldha-Moubhog Union under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district was arrested from Chitalmari Upazila in the district by a police squad of Fakirhat Model PS on Monday noon (at about 12 am) on the charge of violating a minor girl student (13) of Class-VII in the name of giving treatment, according to a report received here. The accused arrestee was already sent to the Jail hajat.

It is learnt from Badsha Bulbul, SI of Fakirhat PS and IO (Investigation Officer) of the case that acting on secret information a police contingent of Fakirhat PS raided the village Kalatala under Chitalmari Upazila in the district in the early hours of Monday and arrested the alleged accused so-called Kabiraj from there. He added, on April 29 when the victim girl went to the house of the Kabiraj at 3 pm accompanied by one of her class mates for the treatment of moles on her hands. But the accused Kabiaj very tactfully took her alone in his room, shut the door and forced her to take something like a sweetmeat in the name of her treatment. As a result, she fell asleep within moments. Taking the opportunity the debauched Kabiraj committed rape with the girl and when she regained her sense he (Kabiraj) threatened her not to disclose the matter to anybody else. The girl disclosed the matter to her parents. But for the sake of their prestige’s they became silent. But when the matter was leaked out father of the victim girl lodged a case with Fakirhat Model PS at the night of June 01 as the plaintiff against the Kabiraj under Anti-Women and Children Repression Act. By this time the alleged Kabiraj went into hide.

Muhammad Alimuzzaman, Officer-in-charge of Fakirhat Model PS admitted the fact and told, the arrested Kabiraj was already sent to Bagerhat Jail hajat through the court.
