Week-long eye camp in Saidpur

A week-long free eye camp has started at Railway Government High School in Saidpur, Nilphamari funded by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KS RELIEF) on Friday . The camp was managed by Al-Bashar International Foundation, to provide week-long medical care to eye patients. The Director General of Bangladesh region of the organization, Dr. Ahmed Tahir Al-Mimbari inaugurated the day-long eye camp. At this time, the Medical Director of the organization, Md. Abu-Said and others were present.
A team of ten expert eye specialists gave the necessary prescriptions after examining the eyes of the 4,000 eye patients. Free medicines, necessary spectacles and medical services are immediately provided to all these patients. Also, more than 500 patients have been selected for cataract surgery and lens placement from among the patients who came to the eye camp for free services. The selected patients are getting free cataract surgery and lens fitting at Makkah Eye Hospital in Rangpur, a subsidiary of the organization, since last Friday.
It is to be noted that 22 large eye camps have been implemented in various districts of Bangladesh under King Salman Center.
