Rain likely at some places of country

Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am yesterday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued on Thursday morning, reports BSS.
“Severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Jashore and Chuadanga. Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions and the rest parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi & Khulna divisions and the district of Sylhet and it may abate from some places,” it added.
Day temperature may fall by (1-3)degree Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
