Step to aware effect of plastic waste on environment

A plastic waste monster has been temporarily installed in the Ishwardi Municipality premises to make people aware of the dire effects of plastic waste on the environment. Several monster portraits are made from different plastic materials. Used plastic materials are collected from locals for making demons. There has been a lot of interest among local people around the portrait of the monster.
On the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration of World Environment Day, Ishwardi Nuclear Information Center organized various programs for three days from 5th to 7th June. As part of the public awareness campaign, plastic monsters were installed in the data center premises. Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, and the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission provide full cooperation. Under this programme, hundreds of local students participate in removing plastic waste from the city.
The idea behind creating the monster shape is said to be inspired from our childhood.
Where stories of imaginary giants, monsters and ghosts used to create fear in our minds. We face a different kind of monster today with plastic waste. Which is not imaginary, but real.
These modern monsters are the plastic stuff that surrounds us every day, yet we don’t even notice. With 4 billion tons of plastic produced annually, half of which is intended for single use, our world today is covered in plastic waste. These monsters are made from empty plastic bottles collected from Ishwardi residents to draw attention to the problem of plastic pollution.
