Members of Bangladesh Cricket squad took part in their practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday. The third day of the coaching camp for the cricketers was held under supervision of Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha. Though the coaching camp was held marking the lone Test match against Afghanistan, the cricketers of the took part in the training camp using red ball and also white ball.
A cricketer of Bangladesh Test squad said, ” We are habituated to play in the summer. But the weather of now-a-days is unknown to us. We are trying to adapt with the conditions. The training is useful for us.”
It is a tough task for a person to maintain a normal life in this conditions. So, it is an extra pressure for a cricketer to take part in the coaching camp during this hot conditions. An athlete has to adapt all kind of conditions. Tamim Iqbal-Mushfiqur Rahim & Co. are doing that.
The members of Bangladesh Test squad participated in the warm-up session. The other batters took part in their net session in the indoor. After the warm-up session, the members of Bangladesh Test squad were attentive and took part in the practice session of batting and bowling.
Hathurusingha conducted the coaching camp for the cricketers of the Bangladesh test squad. On the other hand, Batting Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Jamie Siddons conducted the coaching camp for the cricketers, who will perform in the shorter version cricket.
The members of the Team Management of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not create any pressure to the cricketers due to the hot weather.
The workers of the BCB have served water, soft drinks and juice for the cricketers, who have been taking part in the training camp.
Shakib Al Hasan did not take part in the training camp due to injury. He will not play for Bangladesh Cricket team against Afghanistan in the lone Test match. The Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be held at the ‘Home of Cricket’ from June 14 to June 18. In absence of Shakib Al Hasan, wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das will lead Bangladesh Test team against Afghanistan in the upcoming lone Test match.
