Md Ayub Hossain Mondal, Vice-President of Niamatpur Upazila Unit of Awami League in Naogaon District, passed away on Thursday morning. He was 72.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Rajshahi.

He left behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mondal.
In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
