Hridi Haq directed movie ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’ to be released on Aug 18

Popular actress and playwright Hridi Haq is all set to make her directorial debut with the much anticipated government-granted movie titled ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’. The movie depicts the gripping narrative of the Liberation
War of Bangladesh.
On Monday night, during a press event held at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, director of the movie, Hridi Haq unveiled the release date. With excitement, she announced that the movie will be released on August 18. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities such as Lucky Inam, Mamunur Rashid, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Tauquir Ahmed, Ferdous, Sara Zaker, Abul Hayat, Litu Anam, Tanzika Amin and many others, who played vital roles in the movie.
Director Hridi Haq expressed her particular approach towards the movie. She told media, “We have invested great care and effort into creating this movie. Now, we eagerly await the moment when it can be presented to the audience. If all goes well, ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’ will grace the silver screen on August 18.”
The movie revolves around a family’s experiences during 1971 providing a poignant portrayal of the era. Apart from giving direction, Hridi Haq herself also features in the movie ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’, alongside a talented ensemble cast comprising Mamunur Rashid, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Munmun Ahmed, Shilpi Sharkar Apu, Ferdous, Tareen, Litu Anam, Saju Khadem, Sanjida Preeti, Sonia Hossain and many more.
It is noted that actor Litu Anam made a remarkable comeback to cinema with this movie after a break of 15 years. In the movie, Ferdous, Litu Anam and Sajal deliver compelling performances and portraying the roles of three brothers actively engaged in the Liberation War.
