SSC Candidate stabbed to death in Hossainpur

SSC candidate was stabbed to death by an opponent in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj.
The incident took place in Bir Hajipur village of Jinari Union of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased Riyad (17) is the son of Swapan Khan of Bir -Hajipur village of Hossianpur. He was an SSC candidate of Piplakandi High School.
Jinari Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Azharul Islam Rohit confirmed the incident.
UP Chairman Azarul Islam told that, Riyad, son of Swapan Mia of Bir Hajipur village, was stabbed on Sunday afternoon due to a family dispute.
Later, when he was taken to Hossianpur Health Complex, while duty doctor declared him death.
The Officer in Charge (OC) of Hossianpur, Asaduzzaman Titu told The New Nation that, received on information, police rushed to spot and recovered body. Body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
However, no case has been filed and no one arrested in this incident till 11 am on Monday, OC added.
