Promotion a day before retirement

Secretary to the Public Security Division of Home Ministry Mustafizur Rahman has been promoted to Senior Secretary a day before his retirement.
The Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) issued two separate circulars in this regard on Monday.

The MoPA issued a circular that said Secretary of the Public Security Division Mustafizur was sent to retirement on May 24 according to the Public Service Act 2018.
He was granted one-year post-retirement leave (PRL) from May 25 and other facilities.

Yesterday, in another circular Mustafizur was promoted to Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division.

Since he is retiring as a senior secretary, he will get benefits on the senior secretary scale, said an official of MoPA, preferring to be unnamed.
Before joining the Public Security Division on April 2 this year, Mustafizur was land secretary.
