Land Service Week begins in dists

The week-long Land Service Week was inaugural ceremony and press briefing was held at the circuit house conference room in the city Tuesday.
With Deputy Commissioner Khondokar Yasir Arefin in the chair, Khulna Divisional Commissioner and District Administration officials jointly organised the event aiming to take digital land service at the doorsteps of people. Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Zillur Rahman Chowdhury inaugurated the event and addressed the press briefing as chief guest while Additional Divisional Commissioner (Rev) Shahidul Islam, Freedom Fighter Professor Alamgir Kabir, Additional DIG of Khulna Range Police Md Iqbal, Superintendent of Police Md Mahbub Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner of KMP Sazid Hossain, President of Khulna Press Club S M Nazrul Islam, among others, addressed.
The chief guest said that the people are now getting benefit from digital land service.
Mentioning that government officials at the grass root level have been working for the wellbeing of the common people, he said, people are now giving land development tax through digital system without any harassment and bribe.
The Land service week will continue till May 28 at the collectorate building premises alongside all land office premises in the upazila where land service seekers will pay land tax and other government revenue through online after registration.
People will also get more services during the campaign at the land office premises including receiving cheque from mitigated land requisition. The services include – E-Namjari, Certified Copies of Khatian, Parcha and other land related services. Later, the chief guest distributed e-parcha, e-mutation and Land accusation checks among the people.

DC , Md. Abul Kalam Azad attended as chief guest while ADC (Revenue ) & DS Md.Nooruzzaman presided over the programme.

Apart from the four smart land services, ‘Registration-Mutation Interconnection’, ‘Smart Land Map’, ‘Smart Land Record’ and ‘Smart Land-Pedia’ launched by Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina. If the smart land system is implemented across the country, the citizens will not have to go to the land office unless it is necessary.

The government under the prudent and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has attained significant success in this field reducing public suffering and harassment to a greater extent.
Administrative officials came up with the observation while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Land Service Week- 2023 titled “Smart Land Service” here Monday with the theme of ‘Land Ministry for Smart Land Services’.
Divisional and district administrations and Thana Land Office jointly hosted the ceremony at Boalia Thana Land Office premises largely attended by land administrative officials, staff and other stakeholders.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division GSM Zafarullah addressed the meeting as chief guest, while Additional Commissioner Imtiaz Hossain spoke as special guest with Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed in the chair.
