Rain with squally wind likely at some places

Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted rain or thundershowers in different areas in the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am yesterday.

“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a Met press release.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.3 degrees Celsius at Cox’s Bazar while Sunday’s minimum temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The highest rainfall was recorded 53mm at Maijdee Court in Chattogram for last 24 hours till 6am yesterday.
