Attack on UNO and vandalism in Madhukhali

On Thursday afternoon, Ansar members tried to take away the banner during the human chain of local people in the dispute over the ownership of the land for the construction of the houses of the Honorable Prime Minister’s shelter project. Clash over dispute. 8 people from both sides including the Upazila Nirbahi Officer UNO were injured in the attack by the locals. Government vehicle vandalized. This incident took place in Nishintpur village of Dumain Union of the upazila at 1.30 pm on Thursday.
Injured UNO Md. Ashiqur Rahman Chowdhury was transferred to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital after being treated at Shapla Digestive Center in front of Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex.
On Thursday afternoon, the women of the area were holding a human chain protest against the shelter project demanding ownership of the land. On getting this news, UNO went there with 4 Ansar and 5 policemen.
