Khaleda deprived of treatment unfairly: Khasru

Staff Reporter :
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury on Sunday said that party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is being deprived of treatment unjustly.
“Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is derived from taking adequate medical treatment as the government is not allowing her to get treatment abroad despite the repeated requests of the doctors,” Amir Khasru Mahmud told journalists.

He made the remark after a meeting of the liaison committee of the party held at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital.

BNP’s liaison committee held the meeting with leaders of Ganatantrik Bam Oikya.

Amir Khasru said that from President to insignificant political leaders and workers are receiving treatments abroad. But Khaleda Zia is not being allowed to go abroad for this purpose.

“The physicians repeatedly stressed on the government to send Khaleda Zia abroad for her proper medical treatment, but the government is not paying any heed to it. In this situation, Begum Khaleda Zia is now receiving treatment in the country,” he said.
