Nat’l Award stolen from singer Nancy’s residence
Entertainment Report :
Popular singer Nazmun Munira Nancy, who is the recipient of the National Award for her song titled ‘Duidike Boshobash’ in the movie ‘Projapoti’, was subject to a crime.
Her award was stolen from her residence and the artiste has lodged
a complaint at the Gulshan Police Station. Nancy herself confirmed
the news on Thursday.
She told this correspondent, “When I was sorting out a few things in my room, I noticed that my National Award, along with a few jewelleries, were stolen. A house-help of mine left a few days before Eid, and there is another person working to take care of my youngest daughter – these
two people are siblings as well.”
Confirming the news to the media on Wednesday night, Gulshan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC)
BM Farman Ali said, “Nancy’s written complaint is being accepted as a statement. The housekeepers of her residence are suspected of this theft.”
Nancy hopes that the situation
will be resolved soon.
It is noted that Nancy won the award for Best Female Playback Singer for her playback in the
movie ‘Projapoti’ (2011).
