People continue to return Dhaka after Eid festival

After celebrating the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, people from different parts of Bangladesh are making their way back to the bustling capital Dhaka.
The city, which had a lull during the Eid holidays, is once again experiencing a surge in population as holidaymakers are flocking to the city through various means of transportation, including buses, launches, and trains.
Bus stations and launch terminals are brimming with people every day. Train services are also seeing a significant increase in passengers.
Expressing joy, people said that they were returning to the capital without troubles and felt happy for the smooth journey.
On Wednesday morning, people were seen arriving at the Mahakhali, Gabtoli, Joarshahara, Gulistan, Sayedabad bus stations, and Kamalapur Railway Station.
Rafiqul Islam, along with his family, left Satkhira early on Wednesday and arrived in Dhaka at 11 am. “We had a five-day vacation for Eid. I extended it by three more days. I will resume work from Thursday,” said Rafiqul.
Nazmul Huda, a passenger returned the capital by launch from Bhola on Wednesday. “Our launch was full of passengers. Many are returning to the capital after celebrating Eid. It was crowded, but the journey was smooth.”
On the other hand, those who did not go to their villages or hometowns in the vacation of Eid are now heading home with their family members to spend some time with their kith and kin.
According to a social media post by the Post and Telecommunication Minister, Mostafa Jabbar, during the Eid holidays, approximately 1.31 crore mobile phone SIM users left the capital over the past eight days. As of Wednesday, around 53.43 lakh SIM users had returned to the capital.
