Syed Shahjahan’s death condoled

Syed Shahjahan, a senior journalist, died on Friday morning at a city hospital after a prolonged illness on various old-age complications, including kidney problems.
He was 75.
The deceased left behind his wife, three daughters, grand children and a host of relatives and well, wishers to mourn his death.
He was laid to rest at Kalshi graveyard just after the Janaza held on the day at Dhaka Sangbadik
Grihasangsthan Samabaya Samity Mosque.
Syed Shahjahan served the now defunct The People, The Bangladesh Times and lastly The Financial Express.
He was a member of the Jatiya Press Club. He was once a Treasurer of Sangbadik Housing Society.
A soft spoken person and an amiable in nature, he was always in contact with the members of the society.
Executive Committee of the Samity condoled the death of Syed Shahjahan and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The EC also expressed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family, said Secretary of the Samity Prof Shahjahan Mozumder, also a Bir Muktijoddha.
