Awami League Advisory Committee Member and Chief Coordinator and Spokesperson of the Central 14-party Alliance Amir Hossain Amu has greeted the countrymen on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr. “On behalf of the 14-party alliance, I convey Eid-Mubarak to the countrymen,” said Amu in a statement on Thursday. He sought peace and prosperity of the people and urged them to share the joy of Eid-ul-Fitr with all, including the rich-poor, irrespective of religions. Despite the global crisis, the Awami League government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Eid gifts to the ultra poor as well as the people who are lagging behind so that they can enjoy Eid, he added. Amu urged Awami League leaders and activists to inquire about the beneficiaries of the different government welfare measures for women, children, including elderly allowances and widow allowance as per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
