4 separate fire incidents across country

At least four fire incidents have been reported in different parts of the country, including the capital city, on Monday.
At Uttara, a fire that broke out at BGB Market in the city’s Uttara area has been brought under control.
The fire originated at 10.25am on Monday. Being informed, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after about an hour of effort.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Rozina Akhter confirmed the news.
The losses and reasons of the fire could not be known immediately
At Baitul Mokarram, the fire caused by power lines on the second floor of Baitul Mokarram gold market in the capital has been brought under control. The fire had been extinguished by the efforts of the locals before the arrival of the fire service unit. Three units of the fire service rushed to the spot after receiving the report of the fire at 2:52 pm on Monday.
However, the fire was brought under control before reaching the spot. Rashed bin Khalid, duty officer of fire service headquarters, said that the fire may have been started from a short circuit.
At Rupganj, another fire that broke out in a saline manufacturing factory in Rupganj of Narayanganj on Monday afternoon.
Four factory workers were injured in this incident.
Local eyewitnesses and factory workers said that the fire was seen from the clean room of a saline manufacturing factory named Orion Infusion Limited in Maikuli area in the afternoon. At that time, four workers working in the factory were injured. They were rescued and sent to a local hospital. The fire was brought under control with the efforts of two units of the fire service after receiving the information.
In Rangpur, the fire broke out from a godown on the second floor of the
building at around 3:30 pm on Monday (April 17). On receiving the information, seven units of Rangpur Fire Service rushed to the spot and worked to control the fire.
The fire was brought under control within about an hour.
Mahfuzar Rahman, OC of Kotwali police station said the reason behind the fire could not be known yet.
