Inauguration of ‘Laboratory of Climate Research for Fishes’ for the fish production throughout the year

Advanced Laboratory of Climate Research for ‘Fishes’ has been inaugurated in the Department of Aquaculture of Bangladesh Agricultural University with the financial support of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF). The KGF funded laboratory will entertain the project, “Modeling Climate Change Impact on Agricultural production in Bangladesh” to facilitate production of fish throughout the year.
On Saturday (April 15, 2023), Bangladesh Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Lutful Hasan inaugurated the laboratory as the chief guest. The Executive Director of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) Dr. Jiban Krishna Biswas was present as a special guest in the discussion programme.
The Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Professor Dr. Md. Abul Mansoor presided over the event and Co-investigator of the project Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Haque gave a welcome speech. The main topic of the research was presented by the Principal Investigator of the project, Professor Dr. A. K. Shakur Ahmed.
Chief Guest Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Lutful Hasan expressed hope that the project will be very time efficient and will help in the production of fish hatcheries.
