Ex-caretaker govt adviser Rokia Afzal dies

Former adviser to the caretaker government and renowned Bangladeshi businesswoman Rokia Afzal Rahman died early Wednesday. She was 82.
She died in her sleep at the Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in Singapore at an early hours (local time).
Rokia Afzal’s body will be brought back to Dhaka on Thursday (April 6) evening, reports UNB.
She left behind two daughters, a son and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Rokia Afzal Rahman was the president of the Bangladesh Federation of
Women Entrepreneurs and chairperson of MIDAS Financing Limited. She was the chairperson of Mediaworld Ltd. and director of Media Star and ABC Radio.
